Frequently Asked Questions
Does AskYourAds cost anything?
The app is currently free, with optional donations if you'd like to
support it. We may introduce paid tiers in the future, but existing
users will be notified well before anything changes — no surprise
charges.
Which ad platforms can I connect?
Major online marketing platforms — for example Google Ads, Meta
(Facebook Marketing), and Google Analytics 4. You can connect any
or all of the supported ones and ask questions that span multiple
platforms in a single turn. More platforms are on the roadmap.
Can AskYourAds make changes to my ad accounts?
No. The app is read-only. It can look at your accounts to answer
questions, but it cannot create, edit, pause, or delete anything —
not campaigns, not ad sets, not keywords, not budgets. Even when
the permission you grant at sign-in technically allows write
access, our code never uses it. A reporting copilot should never
be one misread question away from pausing your best-performing
campaign.
Do you keep my ad data?
No. Every question triggers a fresh call to the platform and the
answer is shown to you — we don't copy your campaign numbers into
our database. What we do store is small and only what's needed to
run the app:
- Your sign-in profile (name, email).
- Your chat history, so follow-up questions keep their context.
- The credentials needed to call your ad accounts on your behalf —
stored encrypted and only readable by our server, never by your
browser or anyone else.
Will I get stuck if my question doesn't work?
No. If a platform can't answer the exact question (for example a
combination of fields it doesn't support), AskYourAds replies with
a short plain-English explanation and two ready-to-paste rewordings
that will work. You won't see a cryptic error code.
Which questions work best?
Specific, concrete ones. A few examples:
- "How much did I spend on Google Ads yesterday?"
- "Which Meta campaigns had the best ROAS last month?"
- "Show impressions by country on Meta this month."
Mentioning the platform, the timeframe, and the breakdown you want
is the fastest path to a useful answer. Follow-up questions inherit
context from earlier turns, so you can say "how about for Meta?" or
"now with a campaign split" without repeating yourself.
Can I download the results to a spreadsheet?
Yes. Turn on the CSV toggle under the chat input and ask your
question — the answer will include a preview table and a CSV
download button. If the result would be enormous, the app asks you
to narrow the question (shorter timeframe or coarser grouping)
rather than returning a truncated file.
Can I use it across multiple accounts or manage clients?
Yes. You can link multiple accounts per platform — including, for
example, Google Ads manager (MCC) hierarchies, multiple Meta ad
accounts, or multiple Google Analytics 4 properties. If your
question is ambiguous across accounts, the app asks which one you
mean; or you can say "across all accounts" and it runs in parallel.
How do I disconnect an account?
Open the app and find the account in the "Connections" panel on
the right. Hover its card and click the trash icon. The credentials
are removed immediately. You can reconnect any time — your chat
history stays.
How do I delete all my data?
Email support@askyourads.app and
we'll delete your profile, chat history, and any linked-account
information. Disconnecting an account in the app only removes that
account's credentials; a full deletion removes everything else too.

all welcome — the more context you give us (the question you
asked, the answer you got, what you expected), the faster we can
